The neighbors witnessed this horrible sight day after day, and it became obvious that these horrible dog owners didn’t deserve to own this poor guy. Although they called police, nothing came from it. The dog remained outside, day after day, and the neighbors had simply had enough.

Every single day the neighbors looked out of their windows and saw this poor senior dog sitting all by himself.

With no toys to stimulate his mind, very little food or water, and no shelter, the senior dog had to spend his days and nights on the cold concrete. Chained up and muzzled with duct tape, this was a truly miserable existence.

Even with the photo evidence of the duct-tape muzzle, the cops just didn’t have the legal authority to arrest the monster of a human and take the poor dog to a better home as the dog “…wasn't being neglected enough for it to be considered animal abuse.”

So when the cops couldn’t help, it took the bravery of one dad to search for his own justice.

This amazing father jumped the fence and trespassed into his neighbors’ backyard to “steal” the dog, named Alfie.
While we don’t suggest any of you do something so risky (the neighbors technically had the right to defend their property and could have shot this brave man), you have to admit he’s pretty amazing.

It seems like no one decided to press charges on this amazing dad, perhaps because his countersuit would have easily swayed any judge or jury member who would have done the same thing!
No more chain, no more muzzle, no more hard concrete. And now, he was even given a name: Alfie. Alfie was adopted into a loving furever home, and he got to experience love and care for the first time in a long time!

He got a new doggy sibling who looks just like him! They went to the beach together and he was able to run around and be free, unlike when he was chained up.

He got to feel the warmth of a real house, and the comfort of being in a real bed. He even got lots of toys to play with! Before that, he probably didn’t even know what toys were!

Many days were spent relaxing in the sun with his doggy sibling, and even enjoying picnics with his new family.

He went on many new adventures with his human, and got to swim in the water and run around.

And most importantly, he was FREE! Alfie got to live out the rest of his years as happy as can be, just like every dog deserves! Thank goodness Alfie got to experience love!
