All dogs go to heaven. But as their humans and best friends, it’s a reality we never want to happen. Our pets — especially dogs because they are the best, are members of the family. They are our children, our siblings, our nieces and nephews.
We love and cherish them more than we do most people. That’s why when their short lives are coming to an end, we want to make their last days more special and show them just how loved they are.
One Reddit user known as ewhippieyoustink2 posted a heart-wrenching photo of her dog on his final days that captions, “An old dog’s last ride.”
The dog certainly shows his age in the photo, with fine wrinkles, thinning ang greying hair, taking a breath of fresh air on his final car ride with a huge smile and closed eyes.
Take a little extra moment today to show your furry buddy some love.

I know how hard is to put our furbabies down. My sweetheart Zoey I put down 21 mos. ago and my heart is still broken. She got cancer and would have been 10 the next month. Don’t think I can go Thur this again.

I find it selfish that people put their dog to sleep cos they are old or sick. I mean did you do that to your grandparents?

I’ll never forget my Hendrix the last car ride he took we went out for a hamburger and he ate that up quickly and we rode home and I’ll never forget his silhouette in the window as he was looking towards home as we drove up. Even though I break into tears when I think about him because I miss him so much and I love him so much. Here’s a picture of his last day he was so tired and so sick from epilepsy and the vet in Sioux Falls gave him medicine that I didn’t know about that made him paralyzed I just know he’s got to be at the Rainbow Bridge waiting I’ll be there soon sweetie I love you

I consider when you have to take your dog to the Vet for the final time as perhaps one of the worst occasions in one’s life.
