The stray dog and her two surviving puppies are now safe, warm and healing at the Beylikduzu Alfa Veterinary Clinic in Istanbul, Turkey. But the way they arrived there is a story that’s touching hearts everywhere.
It all began with a worried mother who refused to give up on her babies.

Earlier this week, a Good Samaritan rushed a tiny, ailing puppy she’d found on the street to the clinic. Veterinarians immediately stepped in, working to stabilize the fragile pup — unaware that this rescue was only the beginning.
Not long after, the clinic staff noticed movement at their front door.
Standing there was a thin, anxious dog. In her mouth, she gently carried another puppy.
Here’s that moment on video:
“She came straight to us,” veterinarian Baturay Oğan told The Dodo. “We were shocked. At first, we thought the puppy was gone, but when we examined him, we realized his heart was still beating — very slowly.”
The team rushed into action once again, treating the second puppy while allowing the devoted mom to stay close, watching every move.

Oğan believes the mother dog had given birth just weeks earlier and was then separated from her litter when she was taken to be spayed. Without her warmth and protection, the puppies became dangerously hypothermic.
Somehow, the mother connected the dots. After seeing a stranger carry one of her babies away for help, she followed — determined to save the rest.

Heartbreakingly, the mother later arrived with a third puppy who could not be saved. But even in loss, her love never wavered.
Thanks to her persistence, her remaining puppies survived.
Today, the little family is finally safe together.
“Their health is good now,” Oğan said. “The mother is in good condition, though she is still weak. We are feeding her intensively. She and her puppies are staying with us.”
For the first time in their lives, this brave mom and her babies don’t have to face the world alone — all because a mother’s love led them straight to the help they needed most.
