Amelia the puppy has always had a big personality — and when she crashed a yoga class, everyone found out just how big.
Originally rescued from a Kentucky shelter along with her seven siblings, Amelia was adopted as a young pup through Safe Hands Rescue. Unfortunately, after a few months, she was returned when her adoptive family faced unexpected health challenges.

Back in foster care, Amelia didn’t miss a beat — she was ready to charm the world all over again.
Her foster mom brought her to a birthday party at a local brewery, where she was, unsurprisingly, the center of attention.
“Everyone commented on her cuteness and friendliness,” said Heather Rende, a volunteer with Safe Hands Rescue. That’s also where Amelia met the people who would soon become her new family — they were instantly smitten.

While waiting for the adoption to be finalized, Amelia made a special appearance at a puppy yoga class — where rescue puppies join participants on their mats for a dose of cuteness and calm. Except Amelia brought more bounce than bliss.

“Amelia loves to say hi to everyone,” Rende said. “She doesn’t want anyone to feel left out!”
Instead of settling into a quiet downward dog, Amelia zoomed around the room, leaping over yoga mats — and people — in an explosion of pure puppy joy. While her fellow pups curled up for cuddles, Amelia was on a mission to entertain.
“She was the hostess with the mostest,” Rende said. “She made sure no one was ignored — and left everyone laughing.”
Amelia did two back-to-back yoga classes, pausing only briefly to catch her breath. She took her role as joy ambassador seriously — and now she’s doing the same in her forever home, where her new family adores her just as much as that yoga class did.
