7. Newfoundland
The largest Newfoundland on record weighed 260 lbs and measured over 6 feet from nose to tail. Impressive right? They were bred to be working dogs who spend all of their waking time with their family. Newfoundland dogs are an extremely loving, patient and gentle dog that make for a great house pet.
