A father and son duo, 41-year-old Andrew Renner and 18-year-old Owen Renner, were caught on camera as they shamelessly slaughtered a hibernating bear family. However, they had no idea that the area had an active research camera set up by the US Forest Service and the Alaska Fish & Game department that caught their entire evil act.

This footage, which busted the crimes of the pair, shows them approaching the hibernating mama bear. Owen points his gun at the mama bear and mercilessly kills the defenseless mother in front of her crying cubs.
Andrew soon follows and fires at the newborn cubs, thus killing them. This specific region has strict laws against hunting, which the pair were aware of. However, they mock the regulations on camera by posing with the dead bear and proudly going-on about their kill.

The duo came back to the spot after two days to clean up the crime scene and ensure that no one could ever trace the murder back to them. However, the camera footage caught them red-handed and they had to face justice for their crimes.

Although they brazenly claimed that they killed the beasts in ‘self-defense’, their game was up. Andrew was sentenced to three months in jail along with a $9,000 fine. Owen got away with a 30-day suspension. The father-son duo also lost their hunting licenses for 10 years and 2 years respectively. Do you think this punishment justifies their heinous crimes?
