The super of a building contacted AMA Animal Rescue about a dog, named Lucky, who had been chained to a radiator for more than six months.
It was obvious that not only did his owners not walk him, they also didn’t feed or care for him in any way.

For months, Lucky suffered from neglect, malnourishment, and lack of exercise. The only food he got was from the super, but it wasn’t enough; he was still skin and bones.
AMA Animal Rescue rushed to the building as quickly as they could to save poor Lucky from this horrible situation.

Rescuers expected to see a dog who had given up on life, but they were surprisingly met by a happy, friendly dog who loved everyone who approached him.
Rescuers tried their best to hold back tears when they saw how bad of shape he was in. His ribs were poking out, and his nails were so long that he couldn’t even walk normally.

They gave him some food, and he ate like it was years since his last meal. Then they brought him outside, and he was so hungry that he began eating the snow off the ground, thinking and hoping that it was food.
Soon after, the rescue found a loving couple to foster Lucky. It was there that he learned how to interact with people and other dogs, and he was very sweet and friendly.

Lucky was then adopted by an amazing family in Brooklyn, New York. He loves his new life and enjoys taking walks to a nearby park.
