Strange Man Shoves Vicious Pit Puppy Into Woman’s Arms Then Vanished

A woman, in a dog park in Brooklyn, met a puppy in a peculiar way. A man showed up with a puppy in his hands.

He willfully handed the puppy to the woman and explained that he had found her in a dumpster. Then, as quickly as he appeared, he disappeared. It was an odd situation for sure.

A local rescue, Mr. Bones & Co., agreed to take the dog in after the woman called. Elli Frank, with the rescue, immediately noticed something wasn’t right with the pup. She was overly fearful and aggressive because she was so scared.

Elli’s gut was screaming: this puppy was groomed to fight. It’s common for dogfighting puppies to be taken from their mom at around four weeks of age. They are then taught to be as aggressive as possible. It’s heartbreaking.

Elli named the puppy Maddie. Maddie was taken to a special training camp for dogs just like her. Suze Cullinan runs Instinct Dog Training NYC.

The experienced trainers agreed that she needed immediate intervention. Suze had a game plan and now they had to put that plan into motion.

Suze worked with Maddie, the pup began to realize that humans aren’t her enemy. Each day, she progressed. She was surely still fearful and responded to that fear in an unhealthy way but she was learning how to manage that fear.

In just a few weeks, Maddie transformed into a whole other dog. She was reunited with Elli for a visit. Elli was floored! It was like meeting a new and improved version of Maddie.

She was no longer growling and gave Elli kisses and lots of tail wags. Elli even said, out loud, that she hopes Suze adopts her.

They had an obvious bond and Elli knew Maddie would be in the best hands with her. (Puppy nibbles pictured below! Not bites!)

A few months later, Elli’s wish came true! Maddie became a foster fail! The best part of the story is what Maddie is doing now. She helps her mom train other puppies so they can become adoptable dogs too!

It’s exactly how you’d want the story to end. Maddie is a happy girl and her behavior is superb. She has so much love to give and so much to teach when she meets other puppies that came from a similar situation.

So many Pit Bulls like Maddie end up in kill shelters. They’re labeled unadoptable and eventually euthanized. This story is PROOF that a dog can change.
