Old Gal Bolted In Room Barked To Be Let Out, Town Heard & Did Nothing

In the heart of a busy city sat a makeshift home. It didn’t look like a home. It resembled a dilapidated storage building caked in graffiti.

Locked inside, however, was a tiny family. A homeless person resides there along with a dog and a cat.

The hero in this story (who is a hero to many!), Viktor Larkhill, explains that people knew that an old dog lived inside this shack and did nothing about it.

When he heard about it himself, he took matters into his own hands.

Larkhill got a master key to unlock the door. Upon entering, the cameraman, Larkhill, and his assistant were taken aback. There was clutter everywhere.

It smelled and was extremely unsafe. A dog, named Pepa, made her way over. She had a filthy cone on to prevent her from attacking her own body.

Pepa’s body was covered in dirt, fleas, and massive mammary tumors. Once they brought Pepa outside, Larkhill spoke to the camera.

He’s devastated that so many people knew that this dog was living inside with trash, lack of food, and NO WATER!

How could people be so wrapped up in their own lives and not do anything? It’s unforgivable.

Now it was time to get Pepa the medical treatment she should have had long ago! They put the sweet old dog on a leash and lead her outside.

Pepa is hesitant at first but then she realizes she’s finally free. You can see the relief in her eyes. The fresh air hits her and it’s like she won the lottery!

As Pepa makes her way into Larkhill’s truck, you can see how thin she is and how bad her skin is. But she’s eager to go. She understands they are there to help.

They arrive at the vet’s office. Pepa walks inside with her new friends. She heads back to the treatment room and it is then you can see her first tail wags. SHE DOES UNDERSTAND!

The medical staff brings Pepa over and lay her down. They prepare her leg for an IV. She desperately needs fluids and antibiotics.

Then they bring her into a nice clean room that is all hers! She has a soft new blanket too. The staff does skin scrapes next to test her for the type of ailment she has.

Their main focus will be to get her comfortable. Her mammary tumors are massive and these need to be addressed immediately.

They will also treat her for parasites and once the tests come back and conclusively identify what is causing her skin issues, they will treat that too.

Viktor Larkhill explains at the end of the video that they will do everything to save her. We are so grateful that she’s in good hands.

Just because she is old shouldn’t mean she should be given up on. Senior dogs are worth saving too! Please, keep Pepa in your prayers.

She deserves to live out her golden years in bliss. Her rescue is featured in the video below.

P.S. They save the cat too!

Lucky Elderly Man Is Greeted Every Day By A “Friend” Who Crawls Out Of The Ice:

We’ve all seen some unique and unlikely friendships over the years, but this one here may take the cake!

One day, a starving otter appeared at an elderly man’s door wanting some food. Ever since, Seppo Laamanen, 65, and Iivari the otter have been inseparable best friends.

Source: StoryTrender/YouTube

It all started when Seppo fed worms and fish to the small and malnourished otter who was clearly looking for food.

After that, the friendly animal repaid the kindness by visiting the man at his home in Punkaharju in easter Finland. This was the start of something special.

There’s no way Seppo could’ve ever imagined it’d all lead to this. This adorably unique friendship is one for the ages, and it’s something you have to see to believe.

There’s nothing like the bond between two friends regardless of the species! 🙂

10 Of The “Most Loyal” Dog Breeds On The Planet

Giving love and support to humans is something that some dogs do better than others.

While many dogs love everyone they meet and are willing to take treats or belly rubs from anyone, the pups we found are just the opposite.

These 10 dogs are some of the most loyal breeds on the planet. They are rock steady in their loyalty to their owner no matter what.

1) Akita

When the American Kennel Club (AKC) lists loyalty to describe the temperament of the Akita, you know they mean business. The beautiful double-coated working dog of Japanese ancestry is considered hardwired in protecting those she loves. They should be socialized with other dogs and people from the time they are puppies. Their silly, fun, but dignified personalities round out the loyal Akita.

3) Skye Terrier

Known as the “small dog with the big ears,” this adorable breed hails from the Scottish Isle of Skye, hence the name. Whether you live in the city or the country, this small dog with a big personality is steadfast in snuggling, playtime, and remaining loyal to his owners.

4) Beagle

This merry hound is friendly, curious and incredibly loyal. While he doesn’t mind the occasional couch potato time, this spunky pooch is energetic and merry. A fun fact about this hound: the breed standard is for 13 inches and under and another in the 13-15 inch category. No matter how you size him, these adorable dogs just want to cling to you.

5) Shar-Pei

This wrinkly non-sporting breed is standoffish to strangers but very loyal to his owner. His ancient Chinese roots are part of the charm of the Shar-Pei. Regal, strong, and smart, if you want a BFF for life, this loose-skinned pooch may be the right choice for you.
