Family Moves Away & “Forgets” Senior Dog, He Cries As He Can’t Fend For Himself

A family had to move away from their home in Los Angeles, so they callously left their senior dog, Pumba, out on the streets.

The dog could hardly fend for himself after living in a comfortable home his entire life. But he still lurked around his old home and hoped to find his family.

For over a year, Pumba latched on to random strangers for help. He would beg the neighborhood families to get him to his family, but the neighbors could only feed him crumbs.

Finally, a Good Samaritan called “Hope For Paws” for help.

Rescuers JoAnn and Lisa were heartbroken when they found Pumba’s starving, frail and unkempt body trailing on the streets. They set up a cage to trap him, but the dog grew wary of them and ran away.

In desperation, the women reached out to him and assured him that he’d be okay. Finally, poor Pumba embraced his rescuers and agreed to get into the rescue van.

Even at the hospital, Pumba gracefully thanked every caretaker for helping him fix his weakened state.

Pumba has accepted that his family is never coming for him. He’s flourishing again in his foster home with his parents and siblings. The sweet boy is just glad to have a roof over his head and full meals again.

We hope he finds a loving forever home to spend his twilight years in peace. Stay strong, Pumba!
