Big Dalmatian Stares Down Tiny Rabbit In Garden, But Then The Brave Bunny Chases Him Instead

When I think of how a bunny moves, I always imagine gentle and calm tiny bounces, as the term “bunny hop” implies. But this video proves just how wrong I was about the way these little critters get around!

In a clip shared on June 28, 2017, a brave little bunny faces off with a big dalmatian.

When you hear that pairing, you might assume that the larger spotted pup clobbered the small rabbit. Actually, it was the complete opposite, turning into a chase that defied all expectations.

The video shows the rabbit and dog having a grand old time sprinting around the garden.

Well, at least the rabbit is having a good time! The dalmatian looks like he’s running for his life at some points!

Amazingly, the rabbit keeps up with the dalmatian’s speed, even catching up to him and getting under his feet a few times.

According to Daily Mail, the fast bunny in question is 1-year-old Eddie. His spotted dog pal is 10-year-old Romeo. Their owner, Niluka Mckenna, says that the two play like this all the time.

“We do think it’s funny, but sometimes the dogs must get fed up as Eddie doesn’t give them a moment’s rest. Romeo loves acting like a puppy and playing chase, but our other dog Mickey just stays away,” Niluka said. “We believe Eddie learned it from watching the two dogs playing chase with each other, and he thinks it is just what every animal should do regardless of the size difference.”

How adorable is this little bunny who thinks he’s a big dog?
