Anytime a helpless animal is struggling for life, our hearts break into a thousand pieces. This story is no exception but we are so grateful it ends happily!
One night, while it rained, Ray Vargas could hear cries from the yard. As he went to the window and could hear the crying clearer, the cries sounded like meowing!
Ray put on his raincoat and rushed outside. When he followed the cries, he looked up and that is when he saw a tiny spot on his roof. It was a teeny tiny kitten crying hysterically. While it made little sense, all Ray was concerned about was getting to the kitten.
He was able to get to the kitten and bring her inside. He braved the elements and went back out to see if mom could also be found. But there was no mama in sight.
The tiny kitten was shaking from being soaking wet. Ray dried her off then made some calls. He asked if someone could bring by what he needed to feed the kitten. She was way too tiny to eat cat food so he fed her by syringe every few hours.
Ray named the kitten Bhageera.
Bhageera had tiny bite wounds. Eventually, when Ray brought her to the vet, the doctor said that rats had tried to eat her. Because she was dying and so tiny, and the rats were hungry, Bhageera’s likely demise was just part of the circle of life. Thankfully, though, Ray put a stop to that!
The tiny baby grew and grew. She began to flourish and Ray and the kitten became the best of friends. At first, Ray figured he would foster Bhageera and then find her a proper home but now he couldn’t imagine parting with the kitten. It was official, they’re a family!
Now full-grown, Bhageera and Ray do everything together. Even work together! Their bond is so special. Without Ray, Bhageera would have never survived but Ray also insists it is Bhageera who rescued him right back. Sometimes you need someone so deeply but have no clue. Now Ray feels complete.
Watch the video below to learn more about Ray and Bhageera– and their incredible friendship. Thank you, Ray, for rescuing this deserving animal.

Lucky Elderly Man Is Greeted Every Day By A “Friend” Who Crawls Out Of The Ice:
We’ve all seen some unique and unlikely friendships over the years, but this one here may take the cake!
One day, a starving otter appeared at an elderly man’s door wanting some food. Ever since, Seppo Laamanen, 65, and Iivari the otter have been inseparable best friends.
It all started when Seppo fed worms and fish to the small and malnourished otter who was clearly looking for food.
After that, the friendly animal repaid the kindness by visiting the man at his home in Punkaharju in easter Finland. This was the start of something special.
There’s no way Seppo could’ve ever imagined it’d all lead to this. This adorably unique friendship is one for the ages, and it’s something you have to see to believe.
There’s nothing like the bond between two friends regardless of the species! 🙂

They should be socialized with other dogs and people from the time they are puppies. Their silly, fun, but dignified personalities round out the loyal Akita.
