Felon Runs Over Man & Dog Out Walking Because Guy Told Him To “Slow Down”

Rich McCormick was out walking his dog in Sonoma County, California when a speeding car came through his neighborhood.

McCormick yelled out to the driver to slow down. All of a sudden, the driver put his white Maserati car in reverse.

“And I kept walking. And then I hear the car going and I’m thinking ‘okay, he took off.’ And the next thing I know he punched it in reverse (and struck us).

From where Jake laid on the ground, I ended up about 10 feet away from Jake in somebody’s driveway, underneath their car,” stated McCormick.

Sadly, the dog, a 9-year-old Terrier mix named Jake, was killed, and McCormick sustained injuries throughout his body. He is left broken-hearted and trying to understand why the driver behaved in this way.

In the meantime, the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office shared information about the car on social media. Before long, tips started coming in.

Thanks to the general public, 30-year-old Juan Mendoza-Meza was arrested for the alleged crime. Prior to the hit and run, Meza had a felony arrest warrant and was on felony probation.
