Jason’s immediate response was to call 911. The dispatch unit set on course but warned Jason that it would be unlawful for him to smash the car window himself. Jason stood by the car and offered the dog some water through the tiny window opening.

The dehydrated dog gulped in two bottles of water, but the heat was getting to him fast. Soon, the delirious and suffocating dog started losing balance. There was still no sign of the emergency responders, so Jason made the brave decision to bust the car window and save the dog!

When the police finally arrived, they took the dog in for emergency care and then placed him in a local shelter. The person responsible for leaving the dog in the car has been charged. Thankfully, Jason avoided charges for his timely life-saving act!

Later in a Facebook post, Jason explained that he had no regrets about breaking the law to save the dog’s life, as he felt that the heat would definitely have killed the dog soon. Do you think what Jason did was right? Let us know in the comments.
