Unfortunately, the dog meat trade is a booming industry across the world. While many organizations work tirelessly to put an end to it once and for all, it continues on behind closed doors.
Thankfully, many dogs are rescued from this cruel practice and go on to live normal lives.

Wally is one of those dogs. The 1-year-old Dachshund was just another dog destined for the meat trade in China when he was found by an animal charity named Plush Bears Rescue.
He was sitting beside a range of dog furs and shivering in the freezing temperatures as helpless as can be.

The team worked to free the neglected puppy, and they whisked him away. They took him to a rescue center where he’d never have to worry about the meat trade or being mistreated ever again.
After just a month of rehabilitation and recuperation, he was ready to fly to the United States to start his second chance at life in Florida with his loving forever family. 🙂
