Ah, the beach. Is there any better place?
You have the sights, sounds, and smells of the sand and surf, plus all of the people around. I love going to the beach with my brothers and sisters and owner, and thankfully, we go all the time. I never know what new discoveries I’ll make during our trips, but I’m always excited to find out.
Most people would walk their dogs on the beach. However, my owner is not like most people. Also, since there are so many of us, it’s kind of hard to keep us all on leashes without getting into a tangled mess.
Fortunately, we’re all very well trained and know how to behave. Unlike some other dogs I’ve seen. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve met an exasperated owner who’s trying to keep up with one dog. If we were all unruly, I’m sure that my owner would lose his mind!
Anyway, where was I?
Oh right, the beach. While we could follow our owner and walk from place to place, he’s rigged up some kind of device on wheels to cart us all around. I know it’s not a car (I’ve been in plenty of those), but he called it something like a longboard?
What makes this “board” so special is that he put a motor on the bottom. I’ve seen other humans use devices like this, but they have to push themselves with their feet. How tiring that must be.
With all my brothers and sisters, I don’t think my owner could even manage that without stepping on a few of us by accident. Instead, all he has to do is push a button, and we’re off on our next adventure!
As you can see, there are six of us on this board, not including our owner. I’m the one in the middle, straddling his legs. I always love traveling this way, as it allows me to see more places without having to work for it.
If you’re not familiar with Frenchies, we’re not what you would call “active dogs.” While other small breeds have seemingly bottomless energy stores, we like to take it easy.
So after a few minutes of walking, we’re already ready for a break and a bite to eat.
Speaking of eating, I hope that we stop for food soon – I’m starving! Yes, I know that we just ate like an hour ago, but my tummy is already grumbling. Maybe I’ll find some leftover scraps on the ground like last time…
Anyway, I hope to see you on the boardwalk!
