A Deaf and Partially Blind Dog Saves 3-year Old Child

One evening, the 3-year old Aurora wandered off into bushland and was lost. Max, their family dog will do anything to protect his tiny human. Max is a 17-year old Blue Heeler and was deaf and partially blind.

Many were lost in the Australian bush and never returned. When the family realized that little Aurora was lost, a search party was formed consisting of police, her family, and some locals.

The search party reached a hundred people but Max has the most significant trace in finding Aurora.

On the other hand, Max followed Aurora and did everything to protect Aurora despite his age and condition.
The search became worrisome when it started to rain; Aurora was only wearing thin clothing and would probably get her cold. After 15 hours, Leisa Bennet, grandmother of Aurora, heard something.

Leisa thought its Aurora’s voice but suddenly Max show up. Max led the search part in a steep hill where Aurora was found cold and tired. Max was with her for 15 hours keeping her warm and safe.

When he feels that there are rescuers nearby, he rushed off to them and led them to the lost girl. Thanks to Max, Aurora is safe and well.

Max was then celebrated showered with love and appreciation. He was also declared as an Honourary Queensland Police Dog. However, we believe that Max greatest reward is Aurora being safe.
