Teen Arrested After He Dumped Dog In Field With His Legs Tied & Ears Glued Shut

A suspect has finally been found and arrested after he brutally abused an innocent dog.

The dog, now named Atlas, was found abandoned in a field with both of his back legs strapped together. His ears were also filled with glue and fast food wrappers. One of his ear canals were so bad that rescuers thought he might need surgery.

His face and ears were also covered in chemicals, and his ears were partially burned or cut off. X-rays also revealed a BB still lodged inside of him, revealing that he had also been shot with a BB gun.

The Humane Society of Tulsa rushed him to VCA Woodland Central Animal Hospital, where they spent hours removing the glue from his ears and treating them with ointments and creams.

Despite everything he had been through, Atlas was all smiles and always greeted vet staff and visitors with tail wags.

But the Creek County Sheriff’s Office were still on the hunt for the person who did this to poor Atlas. A $10,000 reward was offered for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of those responsible.

The humane society recently posted an update regarding the arrest of an 18-year-old suspect in the case.

“I have tears in my eyes and can barely see what I’m typing at the moment to know that we got JUSTICE FOR ATLAS,” the humane society wrote on Facebook.

Deputies were able to locate and interview 18-year-old Daniel Williams, of Tulsa, who confessed to the crime.

The investigation also determined the crime happened on tribal land. Creek County Deputies contacted the Light Horse Police and Williams was transferred to their custody.

“When we began this journey with him we always hoped for the best but knew in our hearts that finding the actual perpetrator would be a very difficult task,” the humane society continued. “Kudos to Creek County Sheriff’s Office for their diligent work!”

“We did it Atlas. We did it! There are more good people than bad.”
