He Was Dumped In Field With His Legs Tied, Ears Glued Shut & BB Gunshot Wound

The Humane Society of Tulsa received a call from the Creek County Sheriff’s Office regarding a dog who was in immediate need of medical care.

The dog, now named Atlas, was found abandoned in a field with both of his back legs strapped together. His ears were also filled with glue and fast food wrappers. One of his ear canals were so bad that rescuers thought he might need surgery.

Some sort of chemical had also been dumped on his face and ears, and his ears were partially burned or cut off.

To make matters worse, x-rays revealed a BB lodged inside of him, so he had been shot with a BB gun as well.

Poor Atlas had endured so much pain and abuse, yet was so sweet and friendly. All he wanted was help, and he knew right away that his rescuers were there to fix him.

The humane society rushed him to VCA Woodland Central Animal Hospital, where they spent hours removing the glue from his ears and treating them with ointments and creams.

He is now doing so much better and the vet is monitoring him for the next few days. From the looks of it, he may not even require surgery.

Atlas is all smiles and has shown his gratitude toward his rescuers and vet staff with tail wags. The community has banded together and shown their support and a local middle school even donated a basket full of toys and treats for Atlas.

The police are still searching for the people or person who did this to poor Atlas. There is now a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of those responsible for this horrid act.
