Sometimes, the most lovable dogs in the world don’t come from a breeder or a shelter – they’re out there on their own, in need of the right owner.
Meet Bran.
Bran – named after Brannen street, where he was rescued – is a Golden Retriever who was found roughing it on the streets of Atlanta. Fortunately, Reddit user personalhale spotted the pup in the middle of a flood, cold and abandoned.
Bran had escaped an animal hoarding situation, and spent three months alone in the woods before being taken in by his rescuer. Covered in ticks, fleas, and worms, the pup needed serious medical attention.
Bran had nearly every kind of worm dogs can pick up, and he needed three days at the Vet to get cleaned up enough for home life. After a few days of TLC, though, Bran was already looking like a different pup.
Bran’s medical treatment wasn’t over, but he and his new owner made the best of the situation.
He wasn’t able to play with his owner’s other dog yet, but they were still able to keep each other company.
After a few days roughing it solo, Bran was able to get to know his new housemate.
…and once Bran got well enough to help out around the house, he quickly made himself useful.
Thanks to one owner’s generosity, Bran got the second chance he needed.
Docile and lovable, Bran gets along well with everyone. He settled into his new home easily, and he’s now flourishing thanks to his owner’s generosity.
