Carmela the Pit Bull was used to being an “undesirable” pooch all her life. As a puppy, the poor thing was locked inside a tiny crate 24/7.
This caused her limbs to grow out crooked and disabled her permanently. To top it off, no one wanted to take a chance on a “bully breed”.
When a kind pet groomer named Sandy heard about Carmela, she saved her from being euthanized and let her hang out in her salon.

A year passed by and Sandy was still unable to find a family who was interested in adopting a disabled Pit Bull. But everything changed when a woman named Dana entered the salon just before Christmas.
Dana was getting her dog groomed when she casually mentioned to Sandy about her legally blind twin daughters’ “impossible” Christmas wish – to adopt a disabled dog!

The very next moment, Carmela crawled into the room, as if she knew she was about to get her happy ending!
As it turns out, Tianna and Gianna, Dana’s special needs twins, had wished for a dog who was different like them.
But they never expected their wish to be fulfilled within 24 hours! Talk about destined miracles!

This heartwarming video captures the sisters’ blessed first meeting with Carmela. The trio instantly hit it off like it was all meant to be!
The best part is that Gianna, who barely speaks because of autism, wouldn’t stop gushing about her new furry friend.
These sisters have finally found comfort and solace in the company of a kindred soul – and this is exactly what the holiday spirit is all about!

A friend of mine has a beautiful Dalmatian. Friendly, energetic and lovable, she was a perfect family pet… but she wasn’t the smartest pooch on the planet. Sadly, Dobermans are known more for their ferocity than their smarts, but these are considered among the most intelligent dogs in the world, as well as one of the most effective guard dogs around. They’re outstanding students known to be affectionate and obedient.
9. Bloodhound

Don’t let the wrinkles and dopey expression fool you! Bloodhounds have the keenest of noses, and are often used for trailing (so much so that their evidence can be used in court against you!). These are loving but strong-willed dogs, and are often used on search and rescue missions.
10. Australian Cattle Dog

You need a smart, determined and energetic dog to control unruly cows. And that’s just what the Australian Cattle Dog, or ACD, does. They’re intelligent enough to herd these much larger creatures, and while they need their independence and wide open spaces, they’re eager workers who know how to get the job done.
