His Dog Died Of Cancer 2 Weeks Ago. The House Cat’s Reaction Was Heartbreaking.

We've all heard the phrase “fighting like cats and dogs,” mainly to describe two animals (or humans, for that matter) that are always at odds with each other.

However, relationships between cats and dogs are possible, depending on their personalities and their owners’ patience and understanding. And while the initial introductory period can be tricky, this unique relationship can be quite rewarding for both species.

Charlie and Scout proves that dogs and cats can truly can be friends.

This is the story of two inseparable best friends, Charlie the dog and Scout the cat. When Charlie got sick with cancer, Scout wouldn’t leave his friend’s side.

Unfortunately, Charlie recently lost his battle with the disease, and Scout reacted in the most heartbreaking way. I suggest you go get some tissues.

Here's the story…

Charlie and Scout were best friends.

Charlie dog died of cancer 2 weeks ago. Scout kitty loved him more than anything.

As soon as Scout was brought home (at only 5 weeks old), she couldn’t sleep anywhere else but next to Charlie.

The first night I brought her home at 5.5 weeks old, she couldn't sleep unless she was nestled up to my doggy.

The two became inseparable.

She wanted to be around him all the time. They were best buds.
