A Forth Worth, Texas man has been arrested after he repeatedly punched and choked his mother’s miniature pinscher before throwing him several yards into the street.
Forth Worth patrol officers responded to an animal cruelty call, where they learned that a dog was attacked in front of several witnesses.
50-year-old Clint Waters was arrested at the scene and charged with cruelty to an animal with serious bodily injury.
Police have not released any information regarding what prompted Waters to attack his mother’s dog.
Waters was booked into the Forth Worth Jail after the incident before being transferred to Tarrant County Jail, where he remains in lieu of $3,500 bond.
The dog was brought to the vet and had suffered a few injuries from the attack but is expected to make a full recovery.
