Haley Moore went out for a walk with her dog, Clover, as she always does each morning in Canada. Suddenly and without warning, Haley passed out and began to have a seizure.
A neighborhood surveillance camera recorded the entire harrowing incident, but Haley was never alone. Clover not only stayed by her side, but he did two amazingly heroic things.
The dog jumped into the middle of the road when he saw a car coming. The dog was pacing and refused to move, so motorist Dryden Oatway got out to help.
Clover watched as Oatway tended to Haley, who was in need of medical care. The determined doggo wasn’t satisfied, so he flagged down another passerby to help.
“It was really impressive, the dog actually blocked my way. She kind of backed into the road to block my truck,” Oatway reported, adding, “the whole time she was backing down the street she had eyes on [Haley], didn’t look away from her. She kept her distance from me but made sure her owner was okay and that was amazing.”
Everyone on the scene was amazed by Clover, but her work was not done. She left the scene and went to track down Haley’s parents.
When Haley’s mom and dad arrived on the scene, she was being treated by emergency personnel. Haley is now recovering at home, but the cause of her seizure is unknown.
The smart and intuitive dog knew exactly what had to be done when every second mattered. What a fantastic girl you are, Clover!
