Dog Saves Owner From Committing Suicide – What A Hero!

The dog’s intuition was spot on.

This is the story of a young man named Byron, who sunk into a deep depression after his relationship with an ex-girlfriend fell apart. He hit rock-bottom and started to contemplate about committing suicide.

After a day’s worth of heavy drinking, Byron created a noose with some loose rope, went downstairs to write a goodbye note to his family and headed upstairs. To his dismay, Byron found the noose clenched inside Geo’s mouth, his six-year-old Rare Welsh Bull Mastiff.

The dog had grabbed the noose when Byron left the room! Byron tried to retrieve the rope from him, but Geo would growl in response — which only got louder and louder. This surprised Byron, as Geo has always been a very gentle dog.

At first, Byron thought Geo wanted to play with the rope – maybe he wanted a tug-of-war session? However, Geo didn’t want to. The dog proceeded to rip the noose apart! Byron credits Geo for saving his life – he believed that Geo wanted him to live on. As Byron works through his depression, he has another heart-wrenching problem on his hands: Geo was diagnosed with cancer due to a tumor on his head, which is quickly spreading to both his muscles and bones.

Since then, Byron has set up an online fundraiser to help pay for Geo’s medical treatment – he does not want to lose his beloved pet.

Byron says that he wouldn’t be alive today if it wasn’t for Geo – the unexpected reaction of his made Byron decide to live.

And that is what you call the instinct of a lovable dog!

The moral of the story? Dogs are family. If you love them, they sure will love you back just as much, if not more!
