An unusual situation that just kept escalating. It all started when an elephant baby got stuck in a ditch. Her mother stood guard over the pit as the calf tried to get out but to no avail.
Officials in Thailand sure had their hands full with this pair…
They would need to tranquilize the mama to get her off the hole in order to rescue the calf, but then she fell in and got stuck.
Rescuers brought in an excavator to help move the mom and create a flat surface for the little one to crawl out.
But they weren’t out of the woods just yet; Officials would have to revive Mama… But then, a happy reunion! 🙂
