Lily Cardone, a college student, made her dog a star when she posted the most hilarious thing to Twitter. Lily shared a story about her parents that had Twitter followers laughing so hard, it hurt.
The story was about a flower delivery, Lily’s mom, and their dog Sebastian.
“My dad sent flowers to my house today, and my mom thought they were for her,” she wrote on Twitter. “THINK AGAIN.”
The tweet has been favorited and retweeted thousands of times! Lily’s mom, Debbie Cardone, then took to Facebook and shared this!
“So flowers were delivered today,” she wrote. “My husband is very good about sending random flowers to me. I thought ‘oh isn’t that nice!’…then I read the card…”

Excited for the beautiful surprise gift, Debbie checked the card over for a message to her. Her husband works overseas and is gone for long stretches at a time. It’s not usual for him to send Debbie such a gift to say he misses her, but this time… Yea, those flowers weren’t for Debbie at all.
The flowers were for the family’s beloved dog, Sebastian.

Sebastian wasn’t feeling like himself. At 10 years old, his aging knees were in bad shape and he had to have double ACL surgery. He was in a state when his dad last saw him, still recovering and not getting around the house much.
Dad was worried so he sent him the flowers and wrote: “Sebastian, Feel better you’ll be back in the game very soon. Love Daddy.”

The pup just celebrated his 10th birthday, which, as you know, is a major event for dogs. Sebastian officially became a senior dog and his knees could attest to that.
After his surgery, the whole family spoiled him with lots of TLC. But Dad’s gesture certainly takes the cake!

After Lily’s tweets went viral, she went back online and wrote: “It only took 10 years and an ACL surgery for people to finally realize that Sebastian is a star.”
Lily wasn’t the only one impressed with Sebastian. 1-800-Flowers, the company that delivered the flowers, wanted to send their love and well wishes to the Bulldog as well– and give something extra special to the rest of the family.
The company sent a series of notes saying:
“Sebastian, we wish you a speedy recovery filled with belly rubs and treats!”
“Lily, wishing you a wonderful Valentine’s Day!”
“Debbie, just a little something to thank you for all that you do and to wish you a very happy Valentine’s Day!”

Those notes, of course, came with six amazing flower arrangements. Look at Sebastian basking in all his glory! This senior Bulldog is one very good boy!
