An Orphaned Fox Rescued From An Accident Finds Surrogate Mother In A Collie

An orphaned fox was rescued from a roadside accident and taken to Werner and Angelika Schmaing, in Oberscheld, Germany.

Now motherless, this baby would stay in the family’s home with their dog, cat, and two piglets to be rehabilitated.

The baby fox was found near a car accident that killed his mother.

The fox was checked over by a vet and taken to the home of the Schmaing family.

This is where he met Ziva, the family’s Collie that would become his new mommy!

Dinozzo even hit it off with the family cat! They said the two fell in love immediately.

Ziva treated the little fox as if it were her own puppy. Just amazing.

Thankfully, the family decided to let the fox live outdoors like a normal fox. So he learned to use the catdoor when he wanted to come inside! 🙂

“The interaction of animals is very much like siblings in a family,” said Werner Schmaing.

“They are mostly peaceful, often playful and sometimes tired – sleeping together in one place.”

You gotta love it! If this story warmed your heart and made you smile, share it with your friends. 🙂
