Labrador Puppy Looking For A Forever Home Sits In Shelter Smiling At Everyone Who Passes By

Some dogs capture the attention of adopters by barking, others by being on their best behavior — but one lovable black Labrador ‘smiled’ at everyone who walked past his kennel.Alien Marine Life – Deep Blue Discovery

Burreaux, a black Labrador puppy, alongside his two siblings Joe and O, were taken in by the local animal control when they were just eight weeks old. Courtney Wingate, director of The Humane Society of Northwest Louisiana, happened to be at this animal control centre when she spotted the three little Lab puppies in a kennel.

She immediately knew she couldn’t leave the puppies behind — especially after one of them had flashed the most charming smile she’d ever laid eyes on.

Not long after being seen, the trio was quickly scooped up by volunteer Sarrah Walton. Being a huge Louisiana State University football fan, Walton named the pups Burreaux, O, and Joe, after the quarterback and coach of the school’s football team.

All the pups were taken to the vet for checkups and they all tested negative for parvo. However, once they arrived back at the rescue center, Burreaux fell sick. They rushed him straight back to the animal hospital where thankfully he made an incredible recovery.

Once Burreaux and his friends were back at the rescue, Walton started to notice that Burreaux would smile widely whenever someone talked to him in a high pitch voice, calling him a good boy— the pup would immediately flash his little teeth in a big grin.

Speaking to The Dodo, Sarrah said:

“It’s whenever you’re talking real sweet to him … he gets this smile like he wants something,” Walton told The Dodo. “[It’s] like he’s telling you, ‘Come pet me, come love me.’”

When it was time for the dogs to find their forever homes, the rescue decided to show off their special talents on social media. Joe is a natural when it comes to playing fetch, and after sharing a video of his skills, he was quickly adopted.

For Berreuax’s video, the staff decided to show off his sweet nature with a video of him flashing his big beautiful smile.

[W]e were thinking, ‘Burreaux wants a home so bad that he’s always smiling, trying to cute it up’. So we took that video.

We’re sure that with all the attention Burreaux’s endearing smile has brought himself and the shelter, he and his sister will soon find their own perfect forever homes.
