Three Rhino Poachers Mauled To Death By Lions At South African Game Reserve

Poaching is a horrendous practice which is not uncommon in Africa. Most commonly Elephants and Rhinos are poached for their tusks among other native wildlife. The general consensus of this act is outrage -which is why the internet threw a party when the news broke that a group of Rhino poachers had been eaten by a pride of Lions at the Sibuya Game Reserve in South Africa.

Yes. Lions.

Many (including myself) believe the poachers got what they had coming to them. You have to admit, it’s a movie-grade story that ends in sweet revenge. I can imagine the poachers sneaking around, looking for their victim when suddenly they get attacked. They have but a brief moment of regret before being tossed around by the jaws of the wild majestic beasts. And in their final seconds, they knew it was over. I hope they knew.

“They strayed into a pride of lions – it’s a big pride so they didn’t have too much time,” reserve owner Nick Fox, 60, told AFP news agency. “We’re not sure how many there were – there’s not much left of them.” It was reported that the remains of the poachers that were recovered at the scene were limbs, a head, and three pairs of shoes. Let that be a message to all poachers.

You have to wonder if the pride was acting purely on animalistic instinct, or if they knew what these monsters were up to and taught them a final lesson with full intent. I like to think the latter. Moral of the story? Karma will get you. Oh and don’t be a vile excuse of a human being and harm animals for personal gain.
