Litter Crew Cleaning The Road Finds Pint-Sized Pup Someone Discarded As Trash

Litter Crews with the Indiana Department of Transportation were cleaning an Indiana highway when they made a surprising, but adorable discovery.

As members were picking up trash, they stumbled upon a tiny puppy who was all alone on the side of the road.

They snapped a few pictures with the friendly pup before bringing him to safety.

Indiana Department of Transportation shared the photos on their Facebook page and said that one of the crew members took the puppy home and would get him scanned for a microchip as soon as possible.

As of now, it’s unknown if the puppy belonged to someone and was dumped, or if it was born a stray. Thankfully, he is now safe and out of harm’s way, since he wouldn’t have survived much longer on the side of the road without food or water.

If the pup does not have a microchip and an owner isn’t found, the puppy will either be up for adoption or will be adopted by one of the crew members!
