Dogs are known to be man’s best friend, but they can be little boys’ best friends too.

Dash the English Mastiff absolutely adores his tiny human, Peyton. So when the three-year-old got in trouble, Dash proved his loyalty.

Peyton’s mom, Jillian Smith, of Norwalk, Ohio, says that Peyton got in trouble for hitting his five-year-old sister when he got mad. Smith separated the two of them and gave Peyton two choices; he could either go to his room or have a timeout, and Peyton decided to go with a timeout.

As he stood in the corner during his timeout, his furry best friend decided to join him.

Dash sat beside Peyton the entire time, as if he wanted to keep him company and show him that everything would be ok.

Smith happened to have her phone on her and quickly snapped a photo of the heart-warming moment. She posted the picture on her Facebook with the caption, “When you’re in time out but your best pal wont let you serve your time alone.”

The picture has gone viral with more than 44,000 shares. People from all over the world were touched by this sweet moment.

“The dog looks like he’s saying, I got you pal we’re a team,” Sharma LaBrew wrote.

140 Animals Freed From ‘Filthy Cages’ In Texas Puppy Mill Operation

Just this past Saturday, the SPCA of Texas came across a SHOCKING discovery in Fannin County. 140 animals, mostly young puppies, were found inside a home when a Child Protective Services agent visited the address for a separate issue.

Officers took the animals to the Russell E. Dealey Animal Rescue Center to be examined by veterinarians. They will remain there until a hearing takes place to determine custody.

“More than 30 dogs were housed inside the residence on the property,” the SPCA of Texas posted to Facebook. “Most of the animals were housed in a structure behind the residence, and were all found living in filthy cages, crates and kennels, up to three dogs in each.”

The shelter, that was obviously put together carelessly, didn’t just house the animals. The cages were infested with cockroaches that were crawling over them! The animals, in crates stacked upon one another, were also covered in urine and feces.

“In another area, a makeshift run of feces- and urine-filled pens held the majority of the dogs,” the SPCA of Texas wrote. “The entire structure was coated in feces and drenched in urine, and the stench of feces and urine was so strong that it caused investigators to gag and could be smelled from well outside the structure.”

The animals, now safe and sound, are being treated for fleas, dental issues, nail problems, ear issues, tumors, matted fur, fur loss and other health issues stemming from severe neglect. A few of the dogs arrived pregnant and one has already given birth to a single puppy.

Fannin County investigators have not filed charges yet. The owners claim that all the dogs were intended for sale and were not hoarded, but it is unclear whether the operation had the proper license as required by the state.

Whether they have a license or not, shouldn’t they be held accountable for EVERYTHING these poor animals have been through?

If the state decides to prosecute then the animals will likely be surrendered where they will then be available for adoption.

“It’s our hope that once the judge sees the evidence, that he’ll grant custody to the SPCA of Texas,” Maura Davies, vice president for communications for the SPCA of Texas, told the Dallas News.
