Viktor Larkhill and his team received a call for help regarding a big dog who had been seeking refuge in a landfill. She had no food or water and was growing weaker by the day.
Her body was covered with abrasions and injuries, her teeth were rotting out of her mouth, and she had seemingly given up.

She spent her entire life alone, isolated, enduring heat and freezing rain. Larkhill and his team knew they couldn’t let this keep happening, so they set out to change her life forever.
When they arrived, they found her lying by trash, in very bad shape. They provided her with food and water, made a makeshift cover for help, and promised her that they would get her out of there and bring her to her new life.

They named her Maya, and with her new name came a new beginning. Her incredible rescue is one of the most inspiring transformations you’ll ever witness.
When Maya got to the vet, she was diagnosed with multiple ailments including ehrlichia and anaplasma, which are both diseases caused by ticks and parasites.

They began her treatment and Maya’s body slowly began to heal. Soon, she looked like a whole new dog and even found a loving forever home!
Maya was once living a life that seemed worse than death, but she is now loved and spoiled rotten by her new family.
