Miley, a 1-year-old dog from Austin, Texas, was born and bred to be used as a bait dog in a dogfighting ring. Her owners would tape her mouth shut, squeeze her neck in barbed wire, and let their champion dogs loose on her for training purposes.

When Miley outlived her purpose, her evil owners dumped her on the streets. She was found with multiple bleeding wounds and an injured back leg that needed immediate amputation. Euthanization seemed to be the only option for Miley, so her rescuer posted her picture on social media in hopes of getting help for her treatment.
Soon, help and sympathy for Miley poured in. A woman named Amanda Holley was deeply moved and vowed to help Miley come out of her pitiful situation. But when she met Miley, she was heartbroken to see that the battered dog had no will to live anymore.

Miley was so scared of humans that she would refuse to make eye contact with any of her caretakers. Amanda bought Miley a toy and gently coaxed her into taking her meds. Soon, Miley’s spirits rose and she found the strength to recover and find hope for a better life!

Amanda eventually ended up providing a home for Miley! Although Miley has only known a life of harsh abuse from cruel humans, she is already rejoicing the loving company of Amanda and Ace, Miley’s doggy sibling. Dogs indeed have the purest souls. We’re so in love with this happy ending!
