Teen And Cow Comfort Each Other After Losing A Show, They Win Our Hearts Instead

Mitchell Miner, a 15-year-old teen, and his heifer cow, Audri, spent two months together in preparation for a youth dairy cattle show at the Iowa State Fair in Des Moines. As the competition drew closer, Mitchell formed a very special bond with Audri, as he would bathe, clip and walk her every day.

Despite their hard work and dedication, they didn’t win competition. Mitchell and Audri were heartbroken and tired. So after the show, they just hugged each other tight, and fell asleep in each other’s comforting presence in the barn.

Mitchell’s dad, Jeremy Miner, snapped a photo of the adorable pair napping together and shared it on Facebook. Since then, people around the world have been melting over the giant, gentle farm animal tenderly nuzzled around Mitchell.

As Mitchell’s parents grew up in a farm, they wanted Mitchell to learn and uphold farm-life values. Mitchell himself was surprised at how well he bonded with Audri. Audri will be returned to her dairy farm after the show, but Mitchell will always remember the fond memories of their days together. How adorable!
