When Monty was hit by a car eight years ago, it shattered all of his bones.
He was rescued, but was never taken to the vet, so he crawled on the floor for three months in excruciating pain. He was even close to being euthanized at one point.
When Viktor Larkhill and his team of rescuers heard about Monty’s injuries, they drove across the country to pick him up and bring him to an animal hospital.

A CT scan and x-rays revealed that poor Monty had shattered bones in his hips and rear legs, which hinders him from walking and caused him to become incontinent.
He underwent three different surgeries to repair his bones, but vets weren’t sure he would ever walk again.

But despite the slim chance that he’d walk one day, he proved everyone wrong and surprised his vets and rescuers.
Today, Monty can walk just like any other dog! Looking at him, you’d never know that he was completely unable to walk at one point.

Monty loves to swim, go for walks, and play with his new doggy friends. He is such a sweet pup and loves everyone he meets.
