9 Years After Their Dog Went Missing, Family Gets A Call From 1,200 Miles Away

Officers at Australia’s RSPCA were investigating a possible case of animal cruelty in Melbourne when they stumbled upon a shabby and sick-looking dog sleeping on a piece of cardboard.

A quick microchip scan revealed that the dog’s name was Muffy, and she was reported missing over 9 years ago!

Muffy’s family, who lived 1,200 miles away in Brisbane, was beyond shocked when they heard about their beloved pooch’s miraculous fate!

Mom Natalie Lampard explained that she had adopted Muffy from a local shelter and the sweet furball was supposed to be the first furry companion for her daughter, Chloe.

Apparently, Muffy had vanished after she was dropped off with family friends who had offered to take care of her while Natalie had to go out of town.

Chloe, who is now 17, was just a little girl back then and it took her several years to move on from the heartbreak caused by the sudden disappearance of her dear puppy.

The owners of the Melbourne home where Muffy was discovered claim that they had found the dog wandering the streets only a year ago.

While there’s no way to account for the previous 8 years of Muffy’s life, there’s no denying the fact that she’s a total survivor.

If only she could talk and tell us what she had been up to for the past 9 years!
