The Oklahoma Alliance for Animals (OOA) wants people to know that dumping an innocent animal in the “middle of nowhere” is cruel. Driving away and not caring what happens to that defenseless pet is even worse.
Trail cameras captured footage of the cowardly act as a man in a pickup truck dumped his dog with no food or water and then drove away. This incident occurred outside Tulsa city limits off 66th Street North and Mingo.

Thankfully, OOA’s rescue team drove out to get the dog, whom they named Rocket. On Facebook, they provided images of the man, his truck, and the dog being dumped.
Sadly, Rocket sat for nine hours waiting for his owner to return. He had no idea the man would never come back for him.

“If cameras weren’t rolling, who knows what fate would have befallen Rocket,” OOA shared on a Facebook status update. “If you recognize the individual pictured, please send us a message to let us know. We’d like to tell our police friends about him.”
