Sadly, it was too late for Ol Boy to get his second chance. Ticks had dangerously sucked out and infected the elderly dog’s blood, while some scans also detected the possibility of cancer.
Ol Boy was dying, and there was absolutely no way to save him.

The rescuers didn’t feel right about euthanizing Ol Boy right away, so they reached out to an animal communicator who was quite popular among the locals.

One of the rescuers brought Ol Boy home and introduced him to his dogs. Despite his pain, the sick dog had a faint smile as he experienced companionship for the first time in his life.
Just after his only wish was fulfilled, Ol Boy passed away peacefully that night.

Later, the animal communicator relayed the rescuers that Ol Boy wanted his ashes to be scattered over his favorite spot beside the beach.
