On the morning of April 23, 2015, a member of the community brought a mysterious taped up box in to the San Jose Animal Care Center.
This taped up box was left at the shelter’s vet clinic, and the smell coming from it was horrible. The person said there was an injured dog inside that needed help.
When they opened the box, they saw what far too many animals go through: neglect.
They immediately began the journey to right the wrongs that had been done to this dog and ensure she has a happy life ahead of her.
