Owner Chained “Diseased” Puppy To Rusty Truck, Found Collapsed After 10-Days

A 10-month-old puppy named Duke had the misfortune of having a very abusive and neglectful owner. He was tortured to such an extent that his legs had bent while his feet and ligaments were completely shattered.

When Duke got too sick, his owner spread a rumor that Duke has a contagious disease, and chained him to a rusty truck in the outskirts of the city and left him to die.

Duke’s owner had instructed everyone to not go near Duke as he was “untouchable”. However, a woman found his activity suspicious and informed the “Rudozem Street Dog Rescue”.

When the volunteers arrived, the dog had already been struggling to survive the hunger and thirst for 10 days. He was covered in his own feces and had fleas hovering all over him.

Rescuer Tony Rowles found the dog collapsed, so he got very worried. But as soon as he reached out to Duke, the poor thing looked up, cried in relief and kissed Tony’s hand.

Instead of taking Duke to the packed shelter, Tony took him home and introduced him to his other dogs and cats.

After many trips to the vet, it was confirmed that Duke had no contagious disease, but was abused. His cough was only due to malnourishment and the heavy chains that strangled him under the truck.

After a few surgeries and some healing care, Duke is on the road to recovery. A kind woman recently adopted him too! But his abuser is still out there.

Spread the word and help the lying owner be caught soon.
