Boaters Heard Cries And Found 7 Puppies Stranded On A Deserted Island

Boaters were passing by an uninhabited island in Canada when they started to hear cries. That’s when he noticed seven Newfoundland puppies who were stranded on the island in the Pacific Ocean.

The pups, estimated to be 9-10 weeks old, were extremely malnourished and starving. They were afraid of humans at first, and rightfully so, since they hadn’t had much human contact before that. But they quickly warmed up to people when they realized that they were there to help.

The boaters went back and forth to feed them and even brought a doghouse for them to stay safe in. Eventually, Norway House Animal Rescue stepped in to help the boaters and brought the pups to Winnipeg Pet Rescue. They were fed and given much-needed baths and are all doing great!

It’s unknown how the puppies, now known as the “Gilligan’s Island Crew,” got to the island, but there was no mother dog found and it seems like someone abandoned them there. They would have most likely died on that island if they weren’t rescued.

All seven pups were named after characters from the show “Gilligan’s Island.” Now it’s time for these pups to find their forever homes! While they spent the beginning of their lives stuck outside on an island, they deserve only the best care and a warm bed to sleep in at night.
