A 13-year-old Oklahoma boy has been arrested and booked into a juvenile detention center after he posted a video on Snapchat of him throwing, punching and slamming a little puppy.
Luckily, police set out to search for the boy and puppy as soon as the video surfaced on social media and the pup was thankfully found, safe and alive.
Officers picked the puppy up in Weatherford, from a family member of someone seen in the original Snapchat videos.
Police learned that the incident occurred in a Clinton hotel.
“The people of Clinton and the area, everybody banded together all with the same mission and that was to locate this animal and save this animal,” Clinton Police Chief Paul Rinkel told News 9. “Everybody working together is what allowed us to recover her safely.”
The 12-week-old puppy is in good health and is currently being cared for by Haven Animal Rescue & Transport.
Since she is still being considered evidence in the case, she is not up for adoption yet, but will most likely eventually be adopted by one of those closest to the investigation.
