Sasha Pesic is not just a hero for dogs, he is their guardian angel and savior. Sasha’s crusade for dogs began in 2008, when he felt a strong pull toward saving the countless dying dogs in Serbia.
Over the past 10 years, Sasha has rescued over 1000 dogs and enriched them with better lives.

Most of the dogs rescued by Sasha are dying, homeless dogs who were thrown out by their abusive or neglectful owners.
Sasha not only gives them food and medical aid, but also helps them strengthen their will to live. When the dogs recover, he finds them forever homes around the world!
Sasha has built a sanctuary called “Sasha’s Shelter” for his rescued dogs. Together with his dedicated team of caretakers, Sasha ensures that every rescued dog is looked out for.
They have performed many daunting rescues till date, but seeing the happy faces of their adopted dogs keeps them going in spite of all odds.

Sasha’s shelter needs a minimum of $20,000 to care for the dogs each month. Sasha explains that he has always struggled to make ends meet, but it never stopped him from serving the needy dogs.
