A group of good Samaritans in the Miami Beach, Florida area witnessed a horrifying act of animal abuse and stepped in to help the dog.
Witnesses report they saw 51-year-old Louis Sepulveda choking a dog with a leash and smashing his neck and head against the tailgate end of a white Dodge pickup truck.

The good Samaritans held Sepulveda down and helped the dog escape until police arrived.
According to police officers, Sepulveda said “he was going to kill the dog, because he had it coming to him!”

The abusive man was arrested and taken to Turner Guilford Knight Corrections Center. He faces charges including animal cruelty with intent to injure or kill, a felony charge. He also has a history of aggravated battery cases dating back many years.
As of this writing, the dog has been taken to Animal Control to be examined.
