Shelter video shows the exact moment dog realizes she’s been abandoned

This is one of those videos that make a huge impact on the way we perceive things. It’s heartbreaking and eye-opening at the same time, as it depicts the reality of what’s really happening to a pet that gets to be abandoned and surrendered to a shelter.

Once they realize their owners won’t return, the animals’ lives turn upside down. The poor creatures are left terrified and puzzled. Electra is one of those dogs who was left behind. Once you see her reaction, you’ll need a tissue.

The good news is that she was adopted eventually, but the sad reality is that not every abandoned pet gets a second chance in life.

“ELECTRA represents the face of sadness and reality in the shelters. Sometimes I would like to understand owners surrendering their animals and I don’t like to judge them but when you see how the dogs come to the receiving department with their happy faces and they stand all proud I just can’t understand..” – Lolys Menchaka

I name the dogs for my personal references, the shelter doesn't know those names so always make sure to ask for a dog by their control number not by their name to avoid confusion.INLAND VALLEY HUMANE SOCIETYPOMONA CA909 623-9777VIDEO THREAD https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1839944282992583&set=a.1454924388161243.1073741829.100009310861488&type=3&theater

Before welcoming a pet in your life have in mind that it becomes a part of the family, and you never turn your back to a family member.
