At this point, Max was just 2 1/2-years-old.
Over time, KingKizer’s sister spent $15,000 in medical bills taking care of Max.
The family considers it a small price, however, because he has become a huge part of the family in the short time they’ve had him.
Max has become a regular part of family get-togethers and clearly enjoys the company of their other pets.
However, now at 3 1/2 years-old, Max visited the vet and his blood work revealed that he doesn’t have long to live. KingKizer said on his Imgur page, “Unfortunately, his more recent blood work suggests he may die as soon as a month out. We wish, of course, that he holds out and stays with us as long as possible (as long as he’s not in pain). Although it is bittersweet, at least my sister was able to show Max a real life with a happy, loving family. A fitting tribute and a final favor to our late father.”
Max brought so much joy to this family after their tragic loss, and it’s so wonderful they were able to give back to him the way they have.
