3 Ingredient Healthy Dog Treats Will Keep Your Pup Happy

Finding a healthy treat that’s easy to make AND keeps them happy is a total win!

Alex, the creator of Three Little Ferns, a blog we can’t get enough of, has the PAWFECT solution: A delightful, easy to follow recipe that uses 3 wholesome, yummy ingredients dogs love:

  1. Peanut Butter
  2. Bananas
  3. Greek Yogurt

This easy to make snack is healthier than store-bought treats. Why? Because you know all the ingredients inside and can ensure that the treats are always fresh. Also, the ingredients are SUPER HEALTHY and will even cool your pet down during the hot seasons.

Let’s talk about the YUMMY ingredients:

#1 Peanut Butter

Peanut butter is a great source of protein. It’s rich in vitamin B, niacin, and vitamin E. Just be sure that the peanut butter you use doesn’t contain the artificial sweetener xylitol. Xylitol, in even small amounts, can be toxic to dogs.

🐶 Did you know? 🐶

Two tablespoons of PB contain 8 grams of protein and 2 to 3 grams of fiber. The tasty spread also offers vitamins and minerals including the B vitamin niacin, iron, potassium and vitamin E.

#2 Bananas 🍌

Bananas are the perfect treat for your dog. They contain potassium, manganese, vitamin B6, vitamin C, fiber, biotin, and copper. They’re also low in cholesterol and sodium. But they are high in sugar so feed them to Fido in moderation.

#3 Greek Yogurt

Greek yogurt is chockful of calcium, potassium, protein, zinc, and vitamins B6 and B12. It also has “good” bacteria in it which aids in keeping your pup’s gut nice and healthy.

These frozen treats will not only keep your dog cool in hot temps, but your dog will love how they taste.

Here’s how Alex makes the treats for her doggo, Caesar:
