Kind-Hearted Veterinarian Gives BIG to Homeless and Their Pets

While studying veterinary science at the University of Glasgow, Ruby Shorrack learned of a clinic in England serving the pets of the homeless population, and became incredibly inspired. So much so, that after graduating and becoming a licensed veterinarian, she opened a free clinic of her own!

Since October 2014, the Trusty Paws Clinic, staffed by Ruby and veterinary students, has offered free veterinary care to dogs of the homeless. These monthly drop-in clinics are held at homeless charities, and offer services such as vaccinations, microchipping, flea/worming treatment, dog care supplies, and referrals if further veterinary care is needed.

Their services allow homeless people the peace of mind of knowing that their pets are taken care of.
