Owner Tosses Paralyzed Senior Dog On Freeway, Man Builds Her Custom Wheelchair

Angela Chu was driving along Highway 74 in Shelby, North Carolina, when she spotted an emaciated dog dragging herself helplessly in the woods.

Angela knew that the paralyzed dog wouldn’t survive on the busy freeway, so she scooped her up and rushed her to a vet.

At the vet’s, it was confirmed that the dog was neglected for quite some time. She had long nails and knotty-matted fur that hid several infections.

However, the most heartbreaking discovery was that the poor dog was suffering from bone cancer in her hind legs.

She was in extreme pain all the time, and her owner simply got rid of her to avoid the hassle of a sick dog.

Angela learned that the dog would soon be euthanized if no one claimed her. So she volunteered to provide hospice care for the dog and named her Willow.

It has just been a week, but Willow is already well-settled with Angela’s family and her doggie siblings!

When Lowe’s employee, Keith, heard about Willow’s story, he decided to build a custom wheelchair for her.

Thanks to her new ride and some powerful medicines, Willow’s final days will be happy and comfortable!

Keith is a habitual do-gooder who had previously made wheelchairs for other disabled animals as well.

As of now, Angela has shared that Willow has started eating solid food again. She has impressed everyone with her zest for life.

What a shameful thing for the coward owner to dump a sick, senior dog in such a ruthless manner. Let’s stand up for this voiceless pooch and raise our voices against such abuse!
